Yesterday, the team completed their objective exam, and today they’ll be evaluated on product workmanship and quality, their team sales presentation, and their product summary and marketing materials.
We are proud of the skill, professionalism, and hard work they are showcasing throughout this competition! Go make CV proud!

Students created their own customized ear notch pig ears and then put their skills to the test by finding their “litter mates” through correctly reading the notches. It was a fun and interactive way to learn how producers identify pigs and keep accurate records.
Great job applying those real-world livestock management skills!

This week in art class, our elementary students participated in the Texas FFA Association Elementary Coloring Contest. Ms. Eudy and several of her students carefully selected their favorite artwork from each grade level. From there, one overall winner was chosen in each division: K–1, 2–3, and 4–5 and is being sent off to Austin to compete against other division winners from across the state!
We are so proud of the creativity and hard work our students put into representing agriculture through art!
Our grade level winners were:
Kindergarten- Gabriel
**First Grade- Kelly
Second Grade- Emory
**Third Grade- Audie
**Fourth Grade- Elynna
**Are being sent of to the Texas FFA Association to be judged statewide!

For the past few days, our elementary teachers have been teaching students about the livestock species they’ll be able to exhibit one day as members of Jr. FFA and FFA members which included cattle, pigs, lambs, goats, horses, and even Ag Mechanics projects. Then came the fun part… they created their very own stuffed show project, colored them, named them, and stepped into the ring to show them off.
Our high school FFA members proudly served as this year’s judges, encouraging, high-fiving, and officially evaluating some very serious competition. We saw some strong contenders in the cattle division and a few future ag mechanics pros in the making.
Events like this remind us why agricultural education matters. We’re not just raising animals we’re raising confidence, leadership, and the next generation of exhibitors and agriculturalists.
The future is looking bright for CVFFA and congratulations to all of our amazing exhibitors!!
If you are interested in Jr. FFA, please attend our meeting Monday, March 2nd in the elementary cafeteria at 6pm!

It’s Ag Teacher Appreciation Day, and we are beyond thankful for the team we have.
Mr. Henry, thank you for all the behind-the-scenes work you do to keep the shop organized, functional, and running smoothly and for the legendary corny dad jokes that never fail to make us smile.
Mr. Brixey, thank you for your leadership, wisdom, and the guidance you consistently provide. Your steady presence, thoughtful advice, and willingness to invest in both students and the program help set the tone for excellence in everything we do.
Ms. Wood, thank you for the difference you’ve made this year you have singlehandedly made our 8th graders love agriculture, and that is no small thing. Your passion and connection with students truly shines.
Ms. Eudy, thank you for always being a listening ear for both students and teachers and for stepping up whenever you're needed. You are a light to those around you, especially when they need it most.
Agricultural education is more than just a subject. I’m so grateful to work alongside educators who pour so much into their students and our program every single day.
Here’s to a team that shows up, works hard, and leads with heart. Happy Ag Teacher Appreciation Day!
Also enjoy the throwbacks!

This morning some of Ms. Wood’s Greenhand members took part in Texas FFA's "Read to Lead" initiative, visiting every elementary class to read books about the different sectors of agriculture. From crops and livestock to food science and natural resources, they helped our youngest Mustangs see just how big and important the agriculture industry really is.
We’re proud of these 8th graders for stepping up as leaders and sharing their passion for agriculture with the next generation!
We also want to give a big shoutout to Aislin Amaya for being our top salesman in our fall fundraiser! Your hard work and dedication truly made a difference for our chapter. We are so proud of you!
We will be back tomorrow with another jam packed day! Happy National FFA Week!

We are proud of our members for representing FFA through leadership, involvement, and community service.
Happy National FFA Week!

Our members have been actively involved in a wide range of hands-on learning and competitive experiences, including competing at the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Horse Judging Contest, planting flowers, vegetables, and herbs in our greenhouse, and designing Valentine’s Day candy arrangements. Students also represented our chapter at the San Angelo Stock Show, Ms. Eudy and her classes created Bridgerton-inspired centerpieces for the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and Art Council, and to round out the week students participated in an Ag Marketplace and Commercial Steer Clinic.
Gotta keep on truckin through the craziness of the spring semester!

Check out the flyers below to see how you can get involved, dress up, win prizes, and serve our community.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 💙💛
