Students competed last weekend in Waco for the Texas Prostart Competition. Categories included amuse bouche, oxtail mixology, build a better burger, and between bread.
The students competed well and 3 of the final 4 in mixology were from City View with Frankie winning the whole thing. Prize included a knife valued over $100 and a $1000 scholarship from Coca Cola. Happy with all the students and their hard work.

I was impressed with the students efforts to work hard for this years Region 2 FCCLA Contest in Waco! We walked away with a top 5 finisher and advanced to state in an individual event. Couple of other events didn't quite go as planned but the effort was there and it was a great learning experience! Thank you for all you do!

City View ISD is a @CTAT CTE District of Distinction!
This achievement is thanks to our incredible CTE teachers who go above & beyond for our students every day. Their dedication to hands-on, industry-driven learning makes a lasting impact!
Thank you for all you do Teachers!

Our FFA officers had a great time going down to the elementary to introduce stock shows and animal projects to our younger kids by hosting an event called "The Mini"! Throughout this past week, the 2nd grade teachers helped out by helping the kids decorate their animals that they were given. Once Thursday rolled around, our 2nd graders got to "exhibit" their animals to our FFA officers and compete against each other for a shot to get a banner-- just like how an actual stock show works! We hope this event sparks interest throughout our younger kids to get more involved in the show industry and agriculture! Kids are able to start showing livestock once 3rd grade rolls around, so if your little one has any interests in this, please email Rusty Brixey, rbrixey@cityview-isd.net or Kennedy Swan, kswan@cityview-isd.net !!!💙

Advanced Culinary Arts students worked this past week in making homemade pizza dough and sauce. We were able to have a friendly competition to create their own pizza. Very pleased with their creativity and hard work this week! Culinary Arts class began making French Bread and Marinara as we continue the Italian food unit.
Once completed we would like to showcase these talents for others to try.

This past week, our Floral Design students made sucker arrangements and flower arrangements to celebrate Valentine's Day being here! The kids got to take each of these arrangements and add their own little spin to it!💐🍭
