Today was a big day for our City View FFA teams at the SHSU State CDE Contest! Our Forage Evaluation Team finished 9th in the State of Texas, setting a program record for highest team score and marking the best team performance I’ve ever had the opportunity to coach. Leading the way, Daniel Sawyer placed 5th overall individually, an outstanding accomplishment at the state level. Forage Team Members: Daniel Sawyer Jantzen Lindsey Shayna Deane Zoey Hicks Bentley Wortham I’m proud of the work, discipline, and commitment this group showed all season. They raised the standard for what’s possible. Our Farm Business Management Team also competed today at the state level: Cade Lacock Paxton Hollemans Jayden Clay Audrey Graham Competing at state takes grit, preparation, and the willingness to step into a challenge. Both teams represented City View with pride. Success isn’t just measured by banners, it’s measured by growth, effort, and the willingness to compete at the highest level.

Careers don’t always follow a straight line… and today our seniors saw that firsthand! Our guest speaker, Katelyn Bashford, shared her journey from Cosmetology to NICU Nursing, Forensic Nursing, and now Real Estate. She gave our Senior Success classes an honest look at trying different paths, learning new skills, and finding your 'why' along the way. Thank you for spending time with our students and sharing your story with the City View Mustangs! #SeniorSuccess #LifeAfterHighSchool #CityViewMustangs

If you walked into our Senior Success class the past 3 weeks, you might’ve thought we were filming a Netflix series. We had: ✔️ An FBI Agent ✔️ A Lawyer ✔️ Correctional Officers ✔️ A Social Worker All sharing real-life stories, career paths, and the truth about what their jobs actually look like day-to-day. We are also grateful for Dr. Jesse Thomas (Superintendent for City View ISD) spending the day with our classes discussing the upcoming school bond, the Senior Class trip and graduation. We are thankful for community leaders who show up for our students! #SeniorSuccess #LifeAfterHighSchool #CityViewMustangs
