Meet Krista Ferrell, a dedicated and passionate teacher whose journey began right here at City View Elementary during her student teaching days.
📍 Hometown: Burkburnett, Texas
🎓 Education: Bachelor of Science from Midwestern State University, Class of 1996
🍎 Teaching Journey:
Started as a kindergarten aide right here at City View
Became a 1st grade teacher in 1998 and taught here for 6 years
Spent 15 more years teaching 1st grade in Mineral Wells, TX
Returned home in 2019 and we are so lucky to have her back in the Mustang Family!
💡 Fun Fact:
She enjoys crocheting fun little items and leaving them in public places with encouraging notes her way of spreading joy and practicing random acts of kindness in the community.
Her passion, positivity, and Mustang spirit truly make her a Marvelous Mustang! 💙🐴

Summer Meals are here! Beginning June 2nd - June 26th, Monday-Thursday, meals will be provided at City View Elementary at no cost. Meals will be served at City View Elementary at 12:00 each day.


Head Start , Prekindergarten, and Kindergarten Registration Round 2! Registration begins this Week! Office will be open Tuesday 8am-4pm, Wednesday 8am-5:30pm, and Thursday 8am-4pm.

Mustang Ambassador Program

We are excited to announce the launch of The Herd – Mustang Ambassador Program for incoming 4th and 5th grade students! This initiative is designed to grow tomorrow’s leaders by giving them the tools, experiences, and confidence to lead with purpose.
What to Expect:
Full Day Leadership Summit in August (TBA)
Book Study: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
Hands-on leadership training:
How to shake hands and make a strong first impression
Interviewing skills
Greeting guests with confidence
Public speaking tips
And more essential leadership techniques!
Ambassadors will also:
Welcome and greet new students and families throughout the school year
Participate in community service projects that build character and give back to our community
This is a great opportunity for students who want to grow, serve, and lead both now and in the future.

Our Kindergarten Senior Walk took place yesterday! One of the most cherished traditions at City View! Watching our little graduates walk the halls filled with pride and excitement was a moment to remember. Congratulations to the Class of 2025!





PreK , Head Start , and Kindergarten Round up! Round 2! May 27th-29th.
Office will be open from 8am-4pm everyday. We will be open late on Wednesday the 28th until 5:30pm. Head Start Staff from Region 9 will be present on May 27th for enrollment.

After today, the Boys and Girls Club will be closed until May 27. If your child normally goes there after school, please make sure they know how to get home tomorrow and Thursday.
Remember, Thursday is early release for the last day of school! EC-2nd will be dismissed at 11:30 and 3rd-5th at 11:45.
