Congratulations to the students of our city view culinary program, Last night at the empty bowls fundraiser our students won the best soup of the local high schools and people's choice award for best all around including all vendors. The students showcased best hospitality, presentation, and taste by many of the peoples opinions. A lot of prep work came into play from a 3 day proof of the Focaccia Bread, fabricating chickens for chicken stock, roasting pumpkins for pumpkin spice cupcakes, pealing and dicing 50 potatoes, zesting and juicing lemons, and other items needed. I am very proud and thankful for the dedication and time that went into making the homemade soup, the cupcakes and the focaccia bread! It truly is a pleasure to see all the kids hard work pay off, and for others to get to see it as well!

Excellence Conference held at MSU for FFA students Chapter President Madelynn Hopkins and FFA members Kelsey Dragovich, Jacoby Benham, Grayson Saenz and Shayna Deane were able to experience leadership training as they grow and serve within the FFA. #Serve

Be sure to come out and support the City View Culinary students next week. We will make our version of loaded potato soup, mini cupcakes, and homemade bread to sample and vote on best of the event. It is a great cause to support the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and take with you a hand made bowl produced locally as well. Thank you for your support!

Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park Aquarium and Natural Sciences Center!!!!
City View FFA Wildlife students were able to experience the Wichita Mountains, Buffalo, Longhorns, the Kite Hiking Trail, Mountain Boomers, snakes, turkeys and a list of many plants before we made it to the aquarium. 100 year old alligator snapping turtle, otters, quail, bobcats and coyotes. This was a great field trip for these youth as they got to experience something that Mr Hopkins has a passion for and wants to give students opportunities to learn.
What a great trip!!!
