City View CTE is proud to introduce Mr. Rusty Brixey as our newest Agricultural Science Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 24-25 School year. Mr. Brixey has been married to his wife, Jeanie, for three years and they have two children, Rylee and Hunter. They raise register and commercial Beefmaster cattle along with raising and marketing their own beef. He has a Masters of Animal Science in Animal Nutrition from Sul Ross State and Bachelors of Agriculture Education from West Texas A&M, and brings 8 years of teaching experience. He will be teaching Animal Science and Agriculture Business classes along with supervising LDE, CDE teams, and overseeing Animal Projects. When asked what his goal was for City View FFA he said, “ I hope to help the program grow wherever I can and I would like to see a registered and commercial show cattle program start.” Welcome to City View ISD Mr. Brixey! It's a better view as a Mustang!

Very Proud of the Culinary Team as we finally got the team results back! We were the smallest school out of 44 teams across the entire state of Texas to compete in the team event and had only one practice with all 5 members. Adversity was so great for this and many people were amazed we even showed up to compete. Some schools have almost as many people in culinary as we do our entire high school. But, we finished 22nd in the state. I am thrilled at the talents and ability they showed under a ton of adversity while in Waco. Job well done: Chris, Dakota, Ava, Connor, and Aiden!
