Year 2 and year 3 culinary students have been working on plating and more specifically dessert playing in class. This is an adaptive lesson from a summer workshop where the students have choices from premade desserts (hostess Twinkie or Ding Dong, Oreo cookie or vanilla wafer, a candy item of choice, and premade syrups, icings, almond bark, and sauces made in class beforehand. Our FFA teams did such a good job these past 2 days! Our Sr. Radio Broadcasting and Agricultural Advocacy teams got FIRST PLACE at the Tarleton State University LDE Invitational. We also went to the Weatherford LDE Invitational. Intro classes have spent time learning about pancakes, leaving agents, flavor components, and how presentation can influence a dish. They have also began implementing recipes into documents with homemade maple syrup and how it can make breakfast even better.

Happy Friday, Everyone! Monday will be a holiday for students and a workday for City View staff. JH/HS teachers will be available from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00-6:00pm for parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you would like to meet with any of your child(ren)'s teachers, please sign-in at the Main Office when you arrive. Teachers will also have sign-in sheets in the classroom to document each parent/teacher conference conducted.
