FFA Dairy Cattle team competed today at Houston Stockshow CDE contest. It was challenging competition but good experience for all.

The City View FFA Ag Mechanics Marketplace Team was Reserve Division Wildlife Project behind the Grand Champion Overall Project! The "COLONEL" was truly a rank above the rest as it made the 7th overall protect and will sell as lot # 7 tomorrow at 12pm in the live @JAMShow Marketplace Auction! Congratulations to Sophomore Madelynn Hopkins & Senior Frank Ramos of the City View FFA Wildcard Outfitters!





Greenhouse Operations students are learning about plant cuttings and started their own in their own planters.




So proud of the accomplishments of our kids and our program! This says a lot to start a program from the ground floor and these kids are very serving and headed to state in 2 more events! Awesome 👏 Job!



The City View FFA Meats team competed at the San Angelo Stock Show Meats Evaluation Contest this morning! They 29th out of 57 teams with two second year members and a rookie in their first contest! Team members included: Christopher Daugherty, Audrey Graham, and Kolter Powell. Congratulations! 👏🎉

CTE Students and teachers are busy this weekend! FFA is competing in San Angelo & San Antonio Stock Show Meats and showing Barrows in San Antonio.
SkillsUSA students are competing in a Computer Building contest in Adlington.

Students competed in Mansfield this weekend in SkillsUSA. Many worked before school, breakfast, lunch, after school, and the weekend to help prepare. I am very proud of the hard work and of their accomplishments! They represented city view very well and made me extremely happy for them!











San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association: Ag Mechanics
City View FFA competed with 7 projects and 20 students in total!
Torch Carts received a Blue Ribbon and placed 4th in the Class - constructed and shown by Luis Romero, Braxton Patty and Matias Portillo!
Deer Feeder received a Blue Ribbon and placed 4th in the Class - constructed and shown by Matthew Sawyer, Frank Ramos and Madelynn Hopkins!
These two groups were able to bring back some tools and equipment!
Fire Pit received a Blue Ribbon and was constructed and shown by Jerry Souther, Jeffrey Tulcus and Camren Nettles.
Hands Free Foot Vise received a Blue Ribbon was constructed and shown by Jr FFA members Dustie Powell, Jasper Johnson and Kannon Hopkins.
Jib Crane received a Red Ribbon and was constructed and shown by Tobi Long, Shayna Deane, Eric Gonzalez, Jason Powell.
14 ft Utility Trailer received a Red Ribbon and was constructed and shown by Camren Nettles. Very proud of the job he done on his trailer he built for his business.
Sheet Metal Rack received a White Ribbon and was constructed and shown by Daniel Sawyer, Anthony Nguyen, Brandon Beltran and Giovanni Portillo.
Angelo provided all ag mechanics exhibitors with T-shirt and an experience that will help shape these young students for our future.

Livestock class learned about injection methods today. They practiced intravenous, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and locations to administer on different species.

Students came up Saturday morning to work on their multi tiered cakes for skillsusa competition coming up the 2nd weekend in February.











Students working on the practice portion of skillsusa for culinary cooking. Tough to shrink a 7 hour competition down to 4 hours on a Saturday but some great practice and results!

Students were able brave the bitter cold and recieved Blue Ribbons for City View FFA!
Congratulations to the following students and their projects.
10th graders Braxton Patty and Luis Romero with their Oxy-Fuel Torch Carts.
7th grader Kannon Hopkins and 3rd grader Jasper Johnson with their Hands Free Foot Vise.
Multiple people were impressed and enjoyed the designs both projects.
Students got to experience the Fort Worth Museum Science and History and enjoyed some fun time at the bowling alley with their accomplishments. Very proud of the job these young men were able to accomplish!!!











Livestock class took a field trip yesterday to a swine breeding facility. They learned about the feeding and breeding process for show market pigs. Each student was able to get hands on experience in ear notching,vaccinations and docking tails.

Braxton Patty, Luis Romero, Camden Walser and Matias Portillo was Champion of the Agricultural Machinery class with their Oxy-Fuel Torch Carts.
Kannon Hopkins and Jasper Johnson was 2nd in Agricultural Machinery class with their Hands Free Foot Vise.
Jerry Souther, Camren Nettles and Jeffrey Tulcus was 3rd in Creative class with their custom fire pit.
Austin Mitchell, Madelynn Hopkins and Frank Romas was 4th in Create class with their custom fire pit.
Camren Nettles won Senior Showmanship.
Kannon Hopkins won Intermediate Showmanship.
Jasper Johnson won Junior Showmanship! Clean sweep for City View FFA on Belt Buckles!!
