Our 7th & 8th graders are invited to join us for a fun night at the Glow Dance! 🌟

👉 Wristbands will be handed out on Friday, October 24th during school.

We’re continuing our Meet the Mustangs series as we count down to Meet the Teacher Night on August 18! This week, we’re proud to spotlight the incredible teachers leading our 9th–12th grade English classrooms.
Our High School ELA team challenges students to think critically, write boldly, and engage deeply with literature—and they do it all with heart, humor, and high expectations. 💬📖✨
Fun facts about our High School English Department:
🐎 Ms. Vergauwen (Ms. V) brings the energy to everything she does. In her spare time, she tutors students from around the world!
🐎 Mr. Brewer is a former superintendent who loves public education so much he came back to teach in the classroom after retirement!
🐎 Ms. Reed is a super nerd and City View (K-8) alum. She has been teaching for 25 years, and this year she is a senior mom!
🐎 Coach Deatherage LOVES Disney, and if you can't find her at City View you can find her at Disney!

Fun facts about our Junior High English Department:
🐎 Mrs. Baley has worked at City View for over 20 years. She has seen many classes of students go through the elementary school, and joined us at the secondary just last year!
🐎 Ms. McWilliams is a jack of all trades- she is an exceptional ELA teacher, but also has experience in Special Education and UIL/Enrichment!
🐎 Coach Campbell is not only a coach... she is a senior mom this year! You will see her at EVERY junior high event and 99% of high school events- supporting all her students past and present!

Hey Class of 2025! Diplomas are ready and can be picked up at the school Monday–Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM this week. Stop by the office and grab yours—you earned it! 💪
Also, we just have to say… Project Graduation was a blast! 🎉 From hitting the arcade and playing retro games at Maniac’s Mansion to winning awesome prizes, shooting hoops, spiking volleyballs, and hanging out with your classmates one last time—it was a night to remember. 🏀🏐🎮🎁
