This post is so fun to make for many reasons:
1) A huge THANK YOU to 7Brew for coming and serving our secondary staff drinks. It was such a wonderful treat to start the week!
2) Thank you to former student and current store manager Madison and coworker Reece for coming out to serve our teachers! We love when former students return for a visit!

We have an incredible experience scheduled for our 8th-12th graders on the afternoon of Thursday, May 9th.
City View has booked award-winning Christian rap artist/motivational speaker Trip Lee to perform and speak to our 8th-12th grade students.
There is no cost to the students as City View is incurring all the expenses for travel, performance, and venue.
An email with an opt-out form has been sent to all parents. All 8-12 students will be attending unless the front office receives their opt-out form.

Please see the attached flyer about a raffle going on next week a free yearbook! Feel free to enter as many times as you would like. **There are TWENTY copies of the yearbook left to sell**

We had an amazing first (hopefully annual) Fine Arts Showcase last night! Thank you to all of the teachers and students who have worked so hard this year!

Happy Principal Appreciation Day to our fearless leader! Whether the task is covering classes, coming up with a new idea, or even singing the National Anthem, Mrs. Williams does it and does it well. She is a shoulder to cry on, a springboard for new ideas, and an encouraging word on our worst (and best) days. Her love for students is apparent in everything she does, and we could not be prouder to get to celebrate today with her!

Please make plans to join us in showcasing all our fine arts department has done this year!

Here is a reminder about upcoming dates at the secondary school! Also, please see, the EOY attendance incentive field trip will be May 14.

75 Theatre & Band students traveled to MSU today to watch the Music & Theatre department’s performance of “Pirates of Penzance”! Afterwards, students were able to participate in a talk back with the actors & creative team for the production. It was a great afternoon of theatre for City View students! Thank you to MSU Fine Arts for working with us to plan this matinee during a busy testing season. Students loved this experience & cant wait for the next opportunity to experience live theatre!

Our attendance incentive field trip is coming up on May 14! Please read the following information and get ready for some fun!

Did you know school librarian appreciation day is April 4 this year? We did! And we want to take a moment to thank our very own, Mr. Roy, for all that he does. Mr. Roy goes above and beyond in every aspect of his job, even when sometimes that means watching classes while also coordinating UIL meets and also teaching Calculus classes. We could go on and on about the millions of things Mr. Roy does on a daily basis that help keep us afloat, but we'll end with THANK YOU! You are SO appreciated!

There is still time to buy the 2023-2024 yearbook! It has been sent off to publication and will be for sale until May 5th! Don't miss out on this years memories. Click the link to purchase online. You can email yearbook@cityview-isd.net with any questions.

Happy paraprofessional appreciation day! We really could NOT do what we do without our paras! We appreciate you! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came to support our HS OAP performance last night! We had a full house to share our story with & we could not be more grateful for that. These students have put in an insane amount of work into this show on their own time & in rehearsals. We ask a lot of them & they deliver every time. I am incredibly proud of each & every one of them. It has been an honor to watch their growth from December till now. Congratulations on another great show, Mustang Misfits Theatre Troupe!
We would also like to extend a huge thank you and congratulations on an excellent OAP season to Mrs. Toft and Mrs. Salmon. The amount of work these two put in is intense. Thank you for everything you do for your students!

Please see the attached information regarding our solar eclipse viewing party, which will take place on April 8! Permission slips will be given out at breakfasts and lunches on Tuesday!

Today, part of our junior high and high school art clubs and theatre troupe got to visit MeowWolf in Grapevine. Meow Wolf's Grapevine experience, dubbed The Real Unreal, is like being transported into a point-and-click adventure game where seemingly ordinary objects and images offer bigger clues and have more uses outside of their obvious forms. We are so excited that our students are able to go on these experiences and we are thankful for the teachers who advocate for fun, educational field trips for the kiddos!
