Friday, Feb 11 will be our 100th day of school (it was previously Feb 8). Ask your kids what kind of fun activities they will be participating in to celebrate!

Due to the icy conditions, the book fair materials were not able to be delivered this week. We will notify everyone when they arrive, but the book fair will not begin next Monday as originally scheduled.

We are excited to announce a school-wide project that will begin next week. All families will receive a copy of the book "Dog Days". The entire school will be reading the same book at the same time. We encourage parents to participate as well. We will be sending out more information along with family activities soon.

Are we there yet?! We have 11 days left on our Kids Heart Challenge Road Trip and are $1708.42 away from our $4000 goal! See the image for more information!

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, the Kemp has postponed our art show which was originally scheduled for this Thursday. It is now scheduled for Thursday, Feb 17. We are looking forward to seeing everyone then.

Congratulations to ALL of our Mustangs that were nominated for Mustang of the Month! Thanks for being responsible, kind, and great leaders to all of your classmates!

Join Us February 3rd at the Kemp Center for the Arts! City View will be hosting an Art contest from 5-7pm!

Students in head start are learning about simple machines. Today's simple machine was an inclined plane, or ramp. They rolled a koosh ball down a paper towel holder to see how far the koosh ball would go. They experimented with different angles to see which angle made the ball go further. Then they used a non-standard measuring unit, Qtips, to measure how far their ball rolled down their inclined plane.

City View Art contest is coming up on February 3rd from 5-7pm at the Kemp Center for the Arts! Come out and show your support!

We want to welcome Madi Smith to our staff. She is a former City View student who is joining us as a paraprofessional. We are excited to have her join our team!

Students in Coach Hill's PE class learned about staying healthy today. Thanks Coach Hill starting good habits early!

We are excited to see our students again in the morning. A few reminders- please make sure your child has a water bottle. We are only using bottle fillers. The water fountains are not on. Also, there is no tutoring this week. We will resume tutorials next Tuesday, Jan 11. Lastly, the tardy bell rings at 7:50. Any student not in the building at the time of the bell checks in through the office. Students are required to serve a detention when they accumulate 5 tardies. Thank you for your help with all these matters.
