Thank you to Mrs. Baley and our student council for heading up the food drive for the Humane Society.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Humane Society. We raised 2,256 pounds of dog and cat food. Our top 2 class winners are Mrs. Sanders’s class and all of our early childhood classes- Mrs. Butler, Mrs.York, and Mrs. Bursey. Both of these groups will receive a pizza party.

Friday is the 100th day of school. Dress up as a 100 year old!

Good afternoon City View Elementary!!
We are doing an INCREDIBLE job with our Kids Heart Challenge and we are in the LAST STRETCH until we wrap this Friday and send our lifesaving funds into the American Heart Association!! Every dollar raised helps us fund lifesaving research, teaches our students about caring for others AND helps our school earn necessary PE equipment and funds for our school, we are so appreciative of everything you’ve done so far!!
BREAKING NEWS: Any student who raises money online by Friday is entered into a drawing for a prize pack with playground balls, jump rope, fun toys and PE equipment!!
DON’T FORGET: Any student who raises $100 gets to participate in COLOR BLAST!!!!
If you haven’t had a chance to donate, or want to make sure you get one more push in before our campaign wraps – THERE IS STILL TIME!! Many students have made fun videos for parent’s social media letting friends and family know why they raise money for the American Heart Association, or texted these videos out to friends and family via the Kids Heart Challenge app, called Kids Heart Challenge in the app store.
We still have heart heroes to hand out AND MYSTERY GIFTS (which students earn for every $50 they raise) to your students as they raise these lifesaving funds, and hopefully they are excited about each heroes’ message of kindness and heart health! Please consider going online www.heart.org/KHC or via the app to make or request final donations, and remember you can bring in your envelope with donations raised as well!!
P.S. – Meet this year’s Heart Heroes and get introduced to Kids Heart Challenge!
