Mrs. Yenetchi's class was making place value charts on their desks and using the place value blocks to make numbers. Way to work hard in math!

We are so thankful for the rain, however it has caused some standing water in the front of the school. If you are dropping your child off, please have them enter the doors by the big gym or the kindergarten wing to help avoid the large puddles. Have a marvelous Monday!

Grandparents Day is fast approaching (9/9/22)! If you plan to come please fill out and return rsvp forms. RSVPs need to be in by Wednesday 8/24/22.

Attendance is very important to us and your child’s education. Therefore, we want to reward students who have excellent attendance. Any student who is absent 3 or less days will be able to attend a field trip at the end of each semester. 3 tardies will count as 1 absence. We will begin tracking attendance and tardies on Monday, Aug 22. Please remember our tardy bell rings at 7:50. Thank you for helping your child get to school on time each day.

We have had a very busy morning. Kids are settling in and workin hard!

Parent’s,
We had a fabulous first day back! Thank you for your patience during dismissal time. It always takes a little longer the first few days with both the car line and the busses. It will improve quite a bit over the next week. Just a few reminders-please make sure to send a note if your child has a change in how they go home. Please also make sure all phone numbers are updated on skyward, including emergency contacts so we are able to get ahold of you if there is a question or problem. Lastly, we ask that parents who want to walk up get children park in a designated parking spot in the area close to the road. Please do not get out of your car while in the drive through lane as it holds up traffic. We look forward to seeing our students again tomorrow!

Mrs. Browns 3rd grade class is working on a science project! Looks like fun! #gomustangs

Parents, we now have an area in the parking lot where you may park and walk up to get your child. It is marked in yellow on the photo. The red area is for parents who which to drive through and have their child come to the car. Please do not park in the area marked in red as it holds up traffic. Please be patient this afternoon as it will take a little longer to dismiss students the first few days. As a reminder, pre-k- 2nd grade will dismiss at 3:10 and 3rd-5th grade will dismiss at 3:25. All students will dismiss from the front of the school. We appreciate your help with this.

Thank you to all of our parents who were able to make it to our parent meeting. We had a huge turn out. It has been so good to see our students again. We can’t wait till Thursday!!

Please make sure all students, both new and returning, have turned in current proof of residence and completed online enrollment. This is required every year. Staff will be available at the high school tomorrow evening 4-6 for any returning students who may need assistance. We appreciate your help!

One of our high school students built a Gaga pit for the elementary as his Eagle Scout project. This was also made possible thanks to a generous donation from a City View family. Thank you to everyone involved in helping this dream become a reality. Our students are going to love it. Coach Hill will be teaching students how to play during the first few weeks of school, then the pit will officially be open.

We have a surprise being installed on the elementary playground this morning! Kids are going to love it!

Don’t forget to join us for Elementary Meet the Teacher Tuesday evening. We will have a brief informational parent meeting at 4:00 in the big gym. The front door of the school and classrooms will be open following the parent meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

Elementary teachers are excited about the new parking lot opening up. They got to claim their spots and decorate with chalk.
