
Coach Stone taught a character education class this week during our Friday specials rotation. Students are learning about self control this month. We had good discussions on how to regulate and practice self control on the emotion anger.

Remember tomorrow is House Day! Have your student wear their house colors! Last week we played head, shoulders, knees and toes! A lot of points were handed out during completion Thursday!

On Friday's, our specials rotation consists of Making Mustangs. Our students learn about values and manners. We do these classes from Early Childhood to 5th grade.

A big congratulations to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of our pumpkin decorating contest! We sure did enjoy seeing the creative ideas and hard work from all participants!

Mrs. Wetzel's class did an Adjective Runway Project! Students had to picture an adjective and put it into sentences. What a way to learn!






What a week it was at City View Elementary! Maxine showed up on football Friday, intentional small group work, readers leveling up, Halloween Art Show, presentation on how to call 911, and PreK field trip to the pumpkin patch! We are trying to make a difference at City View. Thank you for your support!

These wonderful Mustangs Leveled up today! They completed their reading folder! Take time each night to read with your children. It makes a big difference! We have sent reading folders home with K-3 students. Sign off on their reading and the reading cart will come see them on Friday for Prizes!


Perfect Attendace drawing was this last week! These lucky students walked away with some cool stuff. Having good attendance helps students stay on track with learning and is a predictor of academic achievement and future opportunities. Regular attendance also helps students build perseverance and responsibility.


The Art Show/Book Fair was a Hit! Thank you for coming out and showing your support. Thank you to everyone who put it all together. Hard work pays off!











PTO is sponsoring a coat drive for all of us! Donate new or old jackets to our coat drive throughout the month of October! There will be boxes set up inside of the elementary. Your child can drop it in a box or you can drop it off at the front office. Thank you! All jackets and coats will go to our City View Community.

City View Elementary presents a Halloween Art Show/Book Fair this Thursday October 17th! Come by and see some cool Art work from our very own! Art Show and Book Fair will be from 4:30-6:30pm.
