🌟 Student Spotlight: Elexan Vialpando 🌟
Join us in congratulating Elexan for his incredible achievement at the regional track meet, where he placed 79 out of 175 runners! 🏃♂️🎉
In June 2022, Elexan faced a life-changing diagnosis of Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). After undergoing surgery in October of 2022, his determination to return to soccer and running never wavered. As a district, we proudly honored him with a pair of running shoes, a symbol of our unwavering belief in his journey.
Fast forward to today: Elexan has not only qualified for his first regional cross-country meet but has now competed in his second! As October is AVM Awareness Month, we take this opportunity to celebrate Elexan and all those affected by AVM.
Thank you, Elexan, for representing City View with such resilience and spirit! We’re so proud of you! 💙✨ #itsabetterviewasamustang #AVMAwarenessMonth #mevsmeUNSTOPPABLE

City View Families,
The City View ISD Police Department was notified this morning (Monday, September 9th) of a possible threat posted to social media from the account of a City View ISD student. The student's parents were contacted and the City View PD is working with the Wichita County District Attorney's Office on the investigation and any possible charges related to the threat. The student is not on campus pending the investigation and City View ISD will follow Texas Chapter 37 of the Student Code of Conduct and the Texas Penal Code accordingly as we move forward with this situation. Students and staff are in class and we are running our normal school day. We are grateful that the possible threat was reported quickly and appropriately allowing City View ISD police officers and administrators to act quickly to ensure staff and student safety.
Jesse Thomas
City View ISD Superintendent

This morning was special. We say time & time again that it is a better view as a Mustang, and days like this morning truly show why. Today, varsity cheerleaders and football players greeted elementary students at the door. This is a tradition we are so proud to continue. Our cheerleaders and football players took it a step further. They went to every classroom in the building (including the cafeteria and gym) and interacted with all of the elementary students they saw. We cheered in all of the classrooms and then participated in PE with some classes. Seeing the Mustangs we helped raise meet the Mustangs we're getting to know is so special. It truly is a better view as a Mustang!

Reminder, there is no school on Monday, September 2nd! Have a great weekend and we will see you on Tuesday.

It's a Better View as a Mustang!

Due to the excessive heat warning issued for Wichita County, this Thursday evening's JV and Varsity football scrimmages against Muenster have been pushed back an hour to 6 PM (JV) and 7 PM (Varsity). Athletes arriving early will be able to remain in the air-conditioned field house at City View until warm up.

Please see the attached image with ParentSquare Information. Happy first day!

We are so excited to see you tomorrow morning Mustangs!

As we are gearing up for back to school, we would like to begin putting out monthly calendars with as many of the events that take place across the district in one place for you to see. We will try our best not to miss anything, however, if there is something you notice that is missing, please reach out so that we can try to get that updated. As always, check your campus events calendars and communicate with advisors for the most up to date schedules and changes!
