WOW! What a meeting, One for the books!!! Just in case you missed it. City View FFA Chapter hosted their second chapter meeting on 9/11. The first 30 students were able to take part in an activity that showed that everyone can be hurt with harmful words or actions. Be a positive influence every chance that you can! City View Member, Haley Moon honored everyone in remembrance of 9/11 by reading a song about our Nation's Flag. Students conducted business with a motion to purchase American Flags for the City View FFA Chapter to put up during Holidays. Stundents passed a second motion to deliver the extra fruit from our meeting to our local Fire Station. Shout out to Mr Partridge and the Culinary Program in our CTE department with the preparation of all the cool fruit. Culinary students did an amazing job!! Serving is a great way to honor others!! We were blessed to have a special guest, our Former Texas FFA State President - Windsor Godfrey!! She spoke on “Mental Health” and how we all can benefit from positive actions in our lives. What an AWESOME Night!! Thank you for everyone that came and made this a special night to remember!! #Jacob and Sterling #Service

Herd the News! City View FFA Ag Mechanics Project Meeting Monday 8/28/2023

Students learned a French term "Mise en place" meaning everything in its place. Purpose of the lesson is to adjust a recipe with your team to put a spin on a more common dish without the ability to use traditional milk, cheese, or other more common ingredients. Adversity hits when everything is not in its place and the normal ingredients have been removed. Helped them understand to use the time wisely in collaboration to have other items in their place. Students worked hard to brainstorm, ask questions, and teamwork in the given time to showcase their creativity.

Herd the News!!! City View FFA volunteered at Rest Stop 14 that the University Kiwanis Club runs for the Hotter Hell Hundred. Students went out to location to help serve 7:00am, bright and early this morning. Students prepare for the day by cutting oranges, bananas and pickles, mixed energy drinks, get ice water ready, and set up the serving stations they would later run all day. Students even got to see two of their own: Coach Jackson and Mr Roy!!! We had 18 students attend! They got so many great compliments on their hard work, attitudes, and serving with a grateful heart. Bikers and volunteers alike!!
