Join us on November 11th at City View for our Veterans Day ceremony, where we’ll honor your service and sacrifices. Enjoy donuts, coffee, and juice from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the high school commons, followed by a heartfelt ceremony in the gym featuring the school band and the National Anthem.
This year, we’re also creating a special slideshow to honor our veterans! If you have photos of yourself or fellow veterans, please send them to Derek Erskine at derskine@cityview-isd.net.

Attention: Health screenings will start this month. Hearing and Vision screenings are State-Required for all 7th-grade students and new to the distinct students. Spinal screenings are also a state requirement; these will be conducted on all 7th-grade girls and 8th-grade boys. Please see the slip below for additional information about the screenings as well as opt-out information. Any parent who does not want their child screened in junior high will need to reach out to the nurse by 10/21/2024.

We are pleased to inform you about an important initiative at City View ISD aimed at promoting mental health and raising awareness about the crime of sex trafficking. Our middle and high school students have the opportunity to participate in the Empower Youth Program by iempathize, which offers age-appropriate lessons designed to educate and empower our youth.
Key Information:
Opt-In Requirement: In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 9, we need your written consent for your child to participate. Permission slips must be signed and returned by September 27, 2024. Electronic signatures are accepted.
Exemption: You may choose to exempt your child from this instruction without any disciplinary action or academic penalties.
Curriculum Highlights:
-Emphasizes healthy behaviors
-Empowers youth to navigate vulnerabilities safely
-Nurtures empathy and teaches how to report and seek help for abuse and trafficking
