Our next spotlight in our “What are we doing after testing?” series is equal parts sweet and scientific (and cross-curricular)! 🧮🍬 Mrs. Schliewe’s 7th-grade math students took on a hands-on (and tasty) experiment to explore the rate of change—with the help of gummy bears! 🐻💧 Students measured their gummy bears dry, then tracked the changes every 15 minutes as the bears soaked in water. Using their data, they calculated how the size changed over time—and yes, they got to enjoy a few along the way. 😉 Who says math can’t be fun and delicious? This is just another great example of how our students are staying engaged and learning in creative ways—right up to the end of the 2024–2025 school year! #itsabetterViewasaMustang

📣 What a busy but memorable day with our seniors! 🎓 We kicked things off this morning with quite the surprise — the school was completely toilet papered inside and out… even Coach P’s paddle wasn’t safe! 😄 After a good laugh and some cleanup, we enjoyed a special Senior Brunch and wrapped up the day with graduation practice. ✨ Tomorrow's events: 💙 Our first-ever Senior Walk at the secondary campus starts at 8:30 AM. Parents are welcome to join us! 💙 After, we'll head to the elementary school to start the annual Kindergarten/Senior walk at 9:00 AM. Our "What are we doing after testing?" series continues... and this one is full of drama—in the best way! 🎭✨ Mrs. Toft, our amazing 6th–12th grade Theatre teacher, wrapped up the year with a final project that let students tap into their creative side through wig making! 💇‍♀️🎨 Students designed and built their own wigs, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. From bold and colorful to intricate and theatrical, these creations were a true expression of imagination and artistry. Learning doesn’t stop after testing, and Mrs. Toft’s students proved that creativity takes center stage right up to the final bell. 🎬👏 #itsabetterViewasaMustang

From bold designs to thoughtful summaries, these students found a fun, engaging way to connect with the real people behind the discoveries. Over the next two days, we’re spotlighting some of the incredible things happening in our classrooms after testing wrapped up. Because let’s be honest—our students (and teachers!) aren’t slowing down anytime soon. 💥 First up: Mrs. Vergauwen’s 9th grade final projects 🎬📚 After diving into The Maze Runner series, students were challenged to create 3D renderings of the Griever, the Maze, or the Glade. These could’ve been simple... but take a look at the creativity and effort that went into these projects! 🔥 Even more exciting? Many students shared that this was the first book series they’ve started—and read more than one book in—in years. That’s the kind of impact we love to see.
