We are pleased to inform you about an important initiative at City View ISD aimed at promoting mental health and raising awareness about the crime of sex trafficking. Our middle and high school students have the opportunity to participate in the Empower Youth Program by iempathize, which offers age-appropriate lessons designed to educate and empower our youth.
Key Information:
Opt-In Requirement: In accordance with Texas Senate Bill 9, we need your written consent for your child to participate. Permission slips must be signed and returned by September 27, 2024. Electronic signatures are accepted.
Exemption: You may choose to exempt your child from this instruction without any disciplinary action or academic penalties.
Curriculum Highlights:
-Emphasizes healthy behaviors
-Empowers youth to navigate vulnerabilities safely
-Nurtures empathy and teaches how to report and seek help for abuse and trafficking

We’re excited to share that our school is currently completing campus safety training for all students, including lockdown protocol, AED, and Stop the Bleed training. 🏫💪
This initiative is part of our commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone. We want our students to be equipped with the skills they need in case of an emergency.
