Parents, don't forget we will dismiss at 11:30 on Thursday and Friday. Please make sure you have made arrangements with childcare providers. Most daycares are not picking up either day.
Please make sure waivers have been signed and returned if your child qualified for the attendance incentive field trip to Coyote Ranch. They were sent home last week. Students without a waiver will not be allowed to participate per Coyote Ranch regulations

Invitations have been mailed out this week. If you have received an invitation you are invited. We will recognize students who made honor roll, art awards, UIL awards, and we are starting a 5th grade Hall of Fame!

We loved today too! Thanks to Coach Hill for a very successful field day and the ability to make quick adjustments when the weather didn't cooperate. Thank you to all the parents who came to watch and help as well. We had a huge crowd!

Field day is off to a great start! Thank you to all the parents who are here!
We have had to make adjustments for our pk-2nd grade field day tomorrow. Our fields are still very wet so we are moving all events to concrete areas. We will be utilizing the new parking lot and the bus lanes. We ask that parents park either in the front parking lot or the gravel parking area on the corner of City View Drive and Old Iowa Park Rd. Please make sure to send a water bottle to school with your child and label it with their name. Kona Ice will here if students would like to purchase snow cones. If you choose to take your child home, please make sure to sign them out with their teacher.
Updated Calendar* We know that May is packed full of events. We tried to get as much of it on one calendar for you as we could and make it easy to keep track of these last few weeks of the school year!
Kindergarten families- mark your calendars. Our kindergarten graduation will be Thursday, May 18. Teachers will send home calendars and notes with specific times for each class. Our kindergarten/senior walk will be on Friday, May 19 at 9:00. Please plan to join us both days as we celebrate your children!

May 1-5 Teacher and Staff Appreciation week. Tell a teacher or staff member how great they are
May 3 math STAAR test. We ask that parents not join their children for lunch this day
May 4th secondary campus tour for 5th graders
May 5th- field day for pk-2nd grade. Parents may park in the gravel parking lot and walk to the field to watch. 8:30
May 11 PTO sponsored daddy/daughter dance 6:00. Tickets to be sold at the door
May 12 PTO sponsored mother/son dance 6:00 tickets to be sold at the door
May 15 field day for 3rd-5th. Parents may park on gravel parking lot and walk to field to watch. 8:30
May 16 attendance field trip for students who had 3 or less absences and no ISS or AEP. 3 tardies count as 1 absence
May 18 is now an early release day. (This is a change to our calendar). 11:30 dismissal. Notes will be going home
May 19 early dismissal and last day of school. 11:30 dismissal
We would like to welcome Lauren Miller to the elementary family. Ms Miller will be a first grade teacher during the 23-24 school year!
