We want to welcome back all of our faculty and students, as we enter the 2019/20 school year. I want to personally thank you for trusting City View with your most prized possession in life. We are going to strive to meet your child’s needs and do all we can to make their educational experience the best it can be. Our administration is very excited about the possibilities ahead of us this year. Our mission at City View is to produce young adults who are successful in life, while also being great children, parents, siblings, spouses, and citizens. Through discipline and hard work, we believe our students can accomplish anything they want in life, and conquer any obstacles in their path. It is our charge to give them the confidence and tools they need to be successful.

We have a strong belief that we must hold students accountable for the little things if we want to accomplish the big things. City View ISD still holds students accountable for the way they dress and we expect that they will maintain a neat appearance. We strive to teach our students how to care for each other and show empathy for those who are hurting, through classes like “Lead Forward” which is a requirement for all 8th grade students. Our teachers and administrators have gone through the “Capturing Kids Hearts” program, and they are ready to meet all of the students’ needs. We believe that kids will not care about what we know, until we show them how much we care.

The 2018/19 school year was a groundbreaking year at City View. The City View community came together and passed a bond that is going to allow our district to build much needed facilities, to help us grow into the next decade. With work being completed on our new library and band hall, we will focus our attention on the new classroom additions and field house at the JH/HS, while restoring all of the restrooms at the elementary. There is definitely a buzz in the air and a lot of excitement about the future of City View.

We welcome our parents and community members to come take a look at the great things happening at City View. We would love to see our City View community come out and cheer our Mustangs on, as our students compete in athletics, academics, and fine arts contests this year. I truly believe that it takes parents working together with our school to see great things happen.

I want to thank you for the opportunity to serve this community as Superintendent.
My wife and I enjoy calling City View our home.  Go Mustangs!!
